Frequently Asked Questions

While you may apply to study directly to an institution, you may choose to use the expertise of an international education specialist (also known as a student counselor) to guide you through the process of choosing the right university or college and enrolling thereafter. Using an accredited and trusted agent like ODMIT, can help reduce the stress of choosing an institution in another country, applying and preparing to leave.

Our expert, or country specific counselors are knowledgeable and up-to-date on curriculum changes, and have your best interests at heart. Most of them have been international students themselves and can thus offer first hand advice every step of the way.

Our services are free for students. You do not have to pay to book an appointment with ODMIT. However, there may be some small fees for courier services or document verification. For more information, call up to ODMIT office.

Our service extends beyond the study advice and applications. We organize pre-departure orientations that cover topics such as student life in your new country, advice on adopting to a new culture and how to deal with homesickness besides managing money and developing soft skills.

We also host welcome activities when you arrive in your new city where you’ll meet fellow and former international students from around the world.

If you’re moving abroad, we can also help your get all the essential services you’ll need while living abroad - Health insurance, foreign exchange, accommodation, setting up a bank account and obtaining a SIM card.

Many study abroad scholarships have similar deadlines, which often depend on the start dates of the academic year in the relevant country. For fall admission, scholarships for international students can be found up until the late summer months, and for winter admission you’ll often have until late in the fall to apply. For exact dates, be sure to check the details provided on the website of the scholarship provider and note them down in your calendar so as not to miss a key deadline.
